Getting a part made at Traxis runs in four steps. You upload your drawing and requirements to the customer portal, we review the job and send a quote with pricing and lead time, you accept the quote and submit your PO online, and we machine the parts, check them against your drawing, and ship them.
Questions about the drawing are answered in the RFQ thread, tied to your files, and your portal account keeps the request, its status, and your invoices in one place.

Upload your drawing or STEP file to our customer portal with the material, quantity, and requested delivery date. We review the request and reply by email, and your portal account keeps the request, our messages, and its status in one place. Include inspection and documentation requirements. Contact us first if an NDA is needed.

Common questions about how we quote, build, and deliver
Lead time depends on part complexity, quantity, material availability, and shop capacity. We quote it for each job. Include your requested delivery date in the RFQ so we can confirm whether the schedule is achievable.
A STEP file and a PDF drawing work best. If you only have one or the other, or your files are in a different CAD format, upload what you have — we'll ask in the RFQ thread if we need anything else.
Everything from a single prototype to ongoing production runs. A large share of our work is repeat production, so once a part is proven out we can run it again consistently. Send your quantities with your RFQ and we'll quote the price breaks that make sense.
We work with aluminum, steels, stainless steel, titanium, brass, bronze, and engineering plastics. Specify the grade and condition on your drawing. For specialty or customer-supplied stock, contact us to confirm suitability and sourcing requirements.
Achievable tolerances depend on material, geometry, feature size, and inspection requirements. Include tolerances and critical dimensions on your drawing so we can review feasibility before quoting.
Parts are checked against your drawing before they ship, with in-process checks along the way. Inspection reports and material certifications are available on request — note the requirement on your RFQ so we build it into the quote.
We can review jobs using customer-supplied material. Send the grade, condition, stock dimensions, and available material certifications with your RFQ so we can confirm requirements before you send stock.
Payment terms are set on your quote, and established customers can be set up with terms. Invoices are issued after shipment and are available to view and download right in the customer portal.
If your project requires an NDA, contact us before sharing drawings so we can review the agreement. Use the customer portal to submit files for quoting and keep project correspondence with your request.
